Welsh Settlement in Patagonia
Andes Celtig are travel specialists located in Trevelin, in the Welsh settlement of Chubut, Patagonia. Trevelin is in a valley called “Cwm Hyfryd”, meaning beautiful valley in Welsh, named by the Welsh pioneers who discovered it in 1885.
We specialise in coordinating journeys to the "Wladfa", the Welsh settlement in Patagonia. However, we also organize itineraries to the rest of Patagonia, Argentina and southern South America.
Our experience in the area of tourism in "Gwladfa Patagonia" spans from 1998, and our personnel include descendents of the original Welsh pioneers, and fluent speakers of Spanish, Welsh and English.
It is the dream of many travellers to visit the Welsh colony in Chubut, Patagonia. Our aim is to impart our extensive knowledge of the history and culture of the area in a thorough and responsible manner. In addition, we wish to share our knowledge of the wildlife and geography of the region with our visitors.
